And Now For the Philosophy

Today I shall make this blog live up to its name and recommend several books of philosophy.

Firstly, I recommend St. Thomas Aquinas’ Summa Theologica.  I love the orderly fashion in which he takes various objections to the Faith and gives his reasons for believing in neat order.  Very nice indeed.

And to introduce myself to that, though unwittingly, I read G. K. Chesterton’s book about St. Aquinas. It’s called St. Thomas Aquinas. I can attest to its slowness to read.  However, it is both interesting and enlightening if you stick it out.
